    I found lucky bank at thrift store – I looked inside after it made noise – turns out it was more fortunate than expected

    ONE lucky thrift shopper got an incredible surprise after purchasing what she thought was a normal bank.

    The shocked buyer revealed on Facebook that after she purchased the red and gold bank, only to find that something was rattling around inside.

    “I went to a thrift store today, found this bank and just had to have it,” wrote Morgan Alexandra in the social media group Weird (and Wonderful) Secondhand Finds That Just Need To Be Shared .

    “When I took it to my car I noticed it made noise and found money in it.”

    Included in the social media post were several snaps of the bank as well as a snap of Morgan holding a pair of incredibly rare $2 bills.

    Several users were quick to comment on the find.

    “Those $2 bills could be worth more than face value,” one user commented .

    “Luck of the Irish,” a second person said .

    A third person commented : “$2 bills are for good luck. Don’t Spend it!”

    According to the CNB St. Louis Bank , the first $2 bills were produced in 1862 by the Federal government.

    The bill features Thomas Jefferson on one side and the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the other.

    Earlier this year, it was reported by The Hill that 1.5 billion $2 bills are currently in circulation.

    Morgan isn’t the only person to have good luck when it comes to her thrift-shopping finds.

    One savvy Chicago -based thrifter reported that she managed to score a designer top , usually priced at about $600, for only $7 at a Goodwill store.

    Grace Andrews shared her find on her TikTok (@ grace.andrewsss ), where she has amassed over 63,000 followers.

    “I remember thinking this top felt and looked too nice to be only $7,” she said in the clip.

    According to the label, the top was from Vivienne Tam, an international designer, who is known for weaving aspects of her Chinese heritage into her clothing.

    Many celebrities such as Paris Hilton , Jill Biden , Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, and Lady Gaga are known for wearing her label.

    The social media user said that she managed to track down the exact same top on a retail website where it was listed for $645 but marked down to $579.

    “I swear I started shaking,” she said after discovering how much the top was going for.

    After posting the video, many rushed to comments saying they had also found incredible things at the store.

    “I got an Oscar De La Renta men’s blazer here a couple of months ago,” wrote one viewer.
