NHS nurses 'terrified' as their taxis are riddled with large rocks by far-right rioters in UK

NHS nurses were allegedly attacked by far-right rioters while returning home from work in the UK.

In a separate incident, a Taylor Swift-themed dance party turned tragic when a mass stabbing occurred, resulting in the death of two children and injuries to nine others. This horrifying event is now being exploited by some to incite further violence.

The terrified nurses, reportedly of Filipino descent, recounted how their taxi was pelted with rocks as they tried to get home.

An insider told The Mirror: "They were in two different taxis and had been called in because of the trouble as emergency cover."

"They managed to get through but they were obviously fearful about what might happen to them."

Northumbria Police reported that eight individuals were arrested and three police officers were hospitalized following the violent incidents on Friday night.

A Citizens Advice Bureau located next to a police station was set ablaze amidst the chaos. Rioters also overturned a car and set it on fire.

Over 100 arrests were made across the UK on Saturday following outbreaks of violence in Liverpool, Manchester, and other cities.

Merseyside Police reported a total of 23 arrests. In Hull, Humberside Police confirmed the arrest of 20 individuals.

Bristol police detained 14 people due to violent disorder.

Lancashire Police reported over 20 arrests, while Staffordshire Police confirmed the arrest of 10 individuals following clashes in Stoke-on-Trent.

The mayhem has spread to Sunday, with reports of turmoil in Rotherham and Middlesbrough heightening the chaos.

In Rotherham, footage on social media showed a mob identified as far-right extremists raiding a hotel where asylum seekers are housed, with some attempting to ignite a blaze at the property.

The unrest was triggered in Southport following allegations that Axel Rudakubana stabbed and killed three young girls on Monday.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer urgently convened with ministers on Saturday in response to the escalating riots.

Sir Keir made his stance clear on Friday: "I've just held a meeting with senior police and law enforcement leaders where we've resolved to show who we are. A country that will not allow understandable fear to curdle into division and hate in our communities and that will not permit, under any circumstances, a breakdown in law and order on our streets."

"Because let's be very clear about this. It's not protest. It's not legitimate. It's crime and violent disorder. An assault on the rule of law and the execution of justice."

"And so, on behalf of the British people who expect their values and their security to be upheld, we will put a stop to it."
