Fans in Disbelief Over Potential Leaked Detail of Snoop Dogg’s Olympic Deal

In case you've been living under a rock, Snoop Dogg is everywhere. At least as it pertains to the 2024 Summer Olympics.

With so much exposure likely comes a hefty endorsement deal, too.

According to an August 4 X post from Henry L. McNamara, an apparent New York-based venture capitalist and Forbes 30-Under-30 selection, the music icon could be taking home more than half a million dollars per day in Paris.

"Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics," McNamara wrote. "From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics - what a world."

If his 2024 Olympics deal spans the entire 17-day stretch between the July 26 Opening Ceremony to the August 11 Closing Ceremony, Snoop could theoretically earn more than $8.5 million.

The potential leaked detail had some fans on social media in disbelief, while others only wanted more.

"Nah, you mean to tell me that Snoop makes more money being at the Olympics than someone on team USA making 37k for working EXTREMELY HARD to win a Gold medal!!!" wrote one fan on Instagram.

"Worth every penny and probably more!" another wrote on X.

If Snoop's growing list of viral moments is any indication, it may be a worthwhile investment for all parties involved, including NBC.

According to an August 1 report from the Washington Post , TV ratings "rebounded dramatically," up 79% in the first five days of competition compared to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

"An average of 34 million people were consuming prime-time coverage on Peacock and NBC," the Post's Ben Strauss wrote.
