His representative shared with TMZ that the actor had a minor incident at a villa on the island on August 2. Though the details of what happened in the pool remain unclear, the rep stressed the hospital visit was merely a safety measure. Efron was released from the hospital on Saturday and is reportedly doing well.

According to TMZ, Efron was found in the pool by two staff members of the villa who quickly pulled him out. The actor posted a photo on Instagram Stories on August 4, showing him lifting weights. He captioned it, “Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes.” His friend Caleb Davidge also posted a selfie with Efron and both appeared fit and relaxed.
