CHELSEA fans are fearing the worst following their Europa Conference League play-off draw.

The Blues have been picked out to face Braga or Servette for a place in the competition.

Chelsea qualified for the Conference League play-off match after finishing sixth in the Premier League last season.

But fans are not optimistic about their chances of progressing following the draw.

Braga boast plenty of European experience having finished as runners-up in the Europa League in 2011.

More recently they reached the quarter-final of that competition in 2022 before losing to Rangers.

Meanwhile their opponents Servette are 17-time Swiss champions and they have already started their league season, winning three out of four games so far.

Chelsea have had a dismal pre-season and lost 4-2 to Manchester City at the weekend, so supporters do not have much faith they will reach the Conference League.

The first leg of their play-off tie will see the Blues host Braga or Servette at Stamford Bridge on August 22, with the return leg taking place a week later.

One Chelsea fan reacted to the draw saying: “How have Chelsea managed to draw the two best teams in the Competition? It’s never been more over.”

Another added: “Lol. Can we even beat Braga at this point?”

And a third wrote: “We could actually lose to Braga lol.”
