Dory Funk Jr. is considered one of the greatest pro wrestlers ever and was rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009. However, when it was first announced last month that he was planning to come out of retirement to wrestle an Electric Explosion Death Match on August 24 for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, many fans were concerned given the fact he is 83 and hasn’t competed in six years.

Yet, indicating that the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion hasn’t had any second thoughts, the elder brother of Terry Funk has cut a promo promoting the match and promising Japanese fans “ fabulous entertainment.

According to FMW’s website, Funk Jr. is set to team with 52-year-old Osamu Nishimura against 66-year-old Atsushi Onita and 61-year-old Raijin Yaguchi, meaning the total age of those wrestling will be over 250 years. And while it seems highly doubtful the match will be scored highly by those that rate matches, it should be noted the entire show is being held as a tribute to Terry Funk, who passed away last year, and therefore likely means a great deal to his brother to participate.
