Bryan Abasolo Alleges Ex Rachel Lindsay Called Him ‘Leech’ in Spousal Support Payment

The divorce between Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay is reaching new levels of petty. The former Bachelorette stars kicked off 2024 with a divorce, and since there wasn’t a prenup, the whole thing has been messy.

In the divorce papers, Bryan cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reasons for their split, and he asked for a whopping $16,000 a month in spousal support. According to Bryan, he’s totally broke and his job as a chiropractor doesn’t pay the bills. Allegedly, Rachel called him a “leech” because of this ongoing spousal support nonsense, and that hurt Bryan’s little feelings.

Temporary leech money

Throughout the divorce, Bryan has claimed to be facing major financial issues . According to him, his monthly income is $1,600, so he asked for ten times that amount from his ex-wife. Seems reasonable, right?

Page Six confirmed that Rachel and her lawyers got the amount lowered to $13,000, and the court asked her to split that up into two monthly payments. That’s a win for Bryan, but his mood changed when he got his first payment.

In a new court filing, Bryan said that when he received the money, it came along with an “offensive text.” The payment confirmation read, “BofA: Glender Ruth Llc sent you $6,628.50 for ‘Temp Leech Money.’” Bryan didn’t like that and felt like it was just another example of Rachel treating him poorly .

“From day one, I have been committed to working cooperatively with Rachel and her professionals to amicably resolve this case,” Bryan declared in the filing.

He continued, “But Rachel continues to obstruct the process while spinning false narrative about her ‘cooperation’ to the court. She continues to instigate confrontation, just as she did prior to my filing for divorce.”

It’s not really clear what Bryan hopes to achieve by running to the court about the “offensive text.” Perhaps he’s hoping this will get him the extra $3,000 a month he was originally begging for.

Meanwhile, Rachel has remained adamant that Bryan’s requests exceed the type of money she pulls in. She said that he’s been exaggerating that they lived a “glamour lifestyle” as a couple as a way to milk more money out of her. It’s a mess. If only they signed a prenup, all of this drama could have probably been avoided.
