Sha’Carri Richardson leaves fans in tears as Team USA sprint star completes Olympics redemption story in Paris

TEAM USA track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson has celebrated her Olympic silver medal with a touching social media post.
The Texas-born sprinter finished second behind Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred, who bested the American by 0.15 seconds in the women’s 100-meter final on Saturday.
Richardson, 24, overcame a slow start to blitz past everyone but Alfred at Stade de France in Paris.
She scored silver after missing out on the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games due to a positive test for THC, indicating recent cannabis use.
The substance remains banned by the World Anti-Doping Code despite being increasingly decriminalized worldwide.
On Sunday, Richardson posted a couple of pictures of herself wearing the American flag after claiming her first Olympic medal.
“I’m so proud of youuuuuuuu!!!” one wrote. “Regardless of every circumstance, you remained steadfast and committed. Your dedication is admirable!”
“Congratulations queen!! Cheering for you always!!!” another added.
“We love us some Sha’Carri!!!” a third said.
“Proud of you young lady … keep pushing … the best is yet to come,” one wrote.
Richardson admitted that she was on a redemption tour heading to Paris.
“Now, I stand here with you again and I’m ready, mentally, physically and emotionally,” she said after winning the 100-meter title at the US championships last year.
“I’m here to say, ‘I’m not back, I’m better…'”
Richardson’s second-place finish seemingly prompted some playful banter between fans of Jamaica’s sprint team and NFL Hall-of-Famer Shannon Sharpe .

On his Nightcap podcast, Sharpe had some words for them after Team USA star Noah Lyles claimed gold in the men’s 100-meter final over Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson.
“We ain’t done,” the First Take star said, noting America’s other chances for gold in track and field events.
“I got bragging rights. Can’t tell me nothing. Nah.
“And I want y’all to do one thing for me, all my Jamaican brothers and sisters.
“Stop the blood clot crying, brother.”
Lyles will have two more chances to claim gold, competing in the 200-meter and 4x100m relay.
