“Up Her Therapist” – Luke Bryan Shares Advice For Carrie Underwood Joining ‘American Idol’

Carrie Underwood is returning to where it all started, but this time, sitting on the other side of the American Idol stage.

Last week, it was speculated and confirmed that Carrie Underwood was headed back to the hit talent search show as a judge. As the official replacement of Katy Perry, Underwood will sit alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as they hope to find the next big talent.

Underwood competed in season 4 of the show, winning her season, which kicked off her country music career. While winners today have to fight tooth and nail a little harder to make it big, Underwood was a natural star, and the doors kept opening for her after the show’s conclusion.

However, being a judge on the show is very different from being a contestant, and given that she will soon have done both, Underwood is a great pick to help grow these young and aspiring artists. As the season is gearing up to begin filming, fellow judge Luke Bryan took time to share his advice for Underwood over the weekend during Watershed Festival. His words were short and sweet about what would get her through the season.

“Up her therapist. If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double…um to deal with me and Lionel. Um, she’s probably going to have to…

Maybe I should credit her or… Do therapists do gift cards? Where I can call her therapist and gift her a voucher?”

It seems like Carrie Underwood might have more of a headache from her fellow judging panel than bad auditions. Luke Bryan is the class clown of the judges, always bringing a smile to everyone’s face.
