Mustard Calls Out Drake, Akademiks, And Bots After ‘Faith Of A Mustard Seed’ First Week Sales Are Revealed

Mustard got the first-week sales numbers for his latest album Faith Of A Mustard Seed , and what started as gratitude wound up ending in negativity. The 34-year-old producer called out Drake, Akademiks , and internet bots after fans made fun of his low numbers.

A Hip-Hop fan page reported that the Los Angeles DJ’s July LP sold 18,000 album-equivalent units on X (formerly Twitter). He quoted the page and wrote, “Beyond Grateful.” Given his direct involvement in the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake by producing “Not Like Us,” it came as no shock that fans started dissing him for an underwhelming first-week performance despite seemingly having a lot of momentum.

In a now-deleted tweet, he wrote, “Album sales are a form of white supremacy you ni**as racist.” As fans continued to bombard his mentions, he turned his attention to the Toronto superstar. “Drake is the [Malcolm X] of white people,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. He also suggested that the 6 God encouraged Gordo to release his album DIAMANTE on the same day as Faith to sabotage its performance. Drizzy executive produced the album and appeared on the songs “Sideways” and “Healing.”

“And @Akademiks make sure you post @GordoSZN first week since Drake thought he did a thing with making him drop on the same day as me,” Mustard wrote. He doubled down on Drake influencing internet users to attack him by tweeting “These Drake bots are the Nation of Drizzlam” and “THE BOTS TRYNA FADE ME.”

The Grammy-winning producer attempted to make light of the situation by posting a photo of the Faith Of A Mustard Seed cover art and writing, “Stream the album or ima be a Bot [laughing emoji] your choice.” After giving these reactions, he attempted to clarify that he was not bothered by the situation. “I’m not mad I’m at my son basketball game,” he wrote. “They was hoopin and they just won i figured id fade some bots im still Grateful a bot could never make me ungrateful lol f**k yall thought?!”

Mustard has made his allegiance to Kendrick Lamar and disdain toward Drake very clear over the last few months. He joined Lamar on stage during his Juneteenth Pop Out concert and passionately rapped the “Not Like Us” lyrics into a camera.
