‘Thought you were 50′ trolls slam a woman’s make-up routine and reveal 3 mistakes that add ’15 years’ to her appearance

A WOMAN has been advised to immediately change up her make-up routine that adds more than a decade to her appearance.

Make-up can either enhance your natural features and even slash years off your face or do the very opposite - and mum Sasha Dennocenzo recently learnt it the hard way after vicious internet trolls slammed her beauty regimen.

The video saw the gorgeous blonde, believed to be from the US, giving a shot to a white eyeliner - a cheap and easy trick to make your eyes look brighter and more awake in seconds.

But despite all the rage amongst fellow beauty buffs, the mum couldn't get behind the hype and insisted the final result was a total flop and she was left looking like ''a clown''.

''Who's with me?'' Sasha wondered in the caption.

However, unfortunately for the mum, it appears that the short clip took Instagram by storm for all the wrong reasons - Sasha's real age.

According to thousands of cruel social media users, the mother - who claimed to be in her thirties - looked worlds away from her years, with some going as far as 50.

''Can I be straight forward? Your makeup is aging the hell out of you. You do not look in your 30s, at all,'' wrote one person.

According to the brutal viewer, Sasha had made three crucial errors with her look that were not flattering and added over a decade to her face.

''Thick black eyeliner, sharpie eyebrows, frost lips… you’re screaming Gen X. You would lose 15 years just by adjusting those 3 things.''

Others, too, were not fond of the black eyeliner, with dozens urging the mum to ditch it for a less intense look.

''Sis, it’s the black eyeliner. That’s the problem,'' said another.

A fellow beauty buff penned: ''Girly, try brown mascara and no eyeliner. You’re aging yourself.

''Black is too heavy for our faces as we age. I honestly thought you were 50.''

''From the best place possible, invest in a self make up class with an artist, your make up is doing you a huge disservice,'' someone else echoed.

But not everyone was as harsh, as one kind viewer flocked to hit back at the meanies, pointing out to a much larger problem.

    Biggest beauty mistakes

Fabulous' Beauty Editor Tara Ledden has shared the do's and don'ts when it comes to beauty.

"No matter how much time and money you spend on your beauty routine, if you’re not getting the basics right, the rest is wasted.

"There aren’t many non-negotiables, but these are the biggest beauty mistakes sabotaging your regime."

    • Not wearing SPF: Sun-damage is the main cause of premature skin ageing, so if you want to keep your skin looking plump and glowing, sun cream is vital.
    • Using expired products: Best case, they’re ineffective and don’t deliver the results they promise, worst case they cause irritation and infection. The shelf life of beauty products differ - for example, mascara is usually good for 3-6 months while lipstick can last for 9-18 months. Check the ‘POA’ symbol on the packaging (it looks like a jar and will have a number inside for how many months it’s safe once opened. If you can’t remember when you opened your product, throw it away and start again, marking the month and year with a permanent marker on the packaging.
    • Not knowing your undertones: If you’re using make-up with the wrong undertones, it’ll never look natural no matter how much you blend it! An easy trick to work out whether you have cool, warm or neutral undertones is to check the veins on your wrist - if they look blue, you have cool undertones, if they’re green, you have warm and if they’re a mix you have neutral.
    • Skipping heat protector: It might feel unnecessary, but much like sun damage on the skin, excess heat is the most common cause of hair damage. So, if you want shiny, healthy hair, or you’re trying to grow it longer, using a heat protection product is key.
    • Not washing your face before bed: it’s as simple as this, if you’re not washing your face before you go to sleep, everything that’s been on your skin during the day is sitting there for even longer, clogging your pores and drying out the surface. Any skincare applied on top isn’t going to be effective with a layer of dirt underneath, and you’re probably going to end up with dirty pillows too - yuck!

''Wow the comments on here are foul. “Screaming gen x” “elder millennial” “you’d lose 15 years if you did this…''.

''You all ought to be ashamed! Why is society still obsessed with telling women how to look, act, exist?

''She posted a video about how the white makes her feel, not “hey everyone, criticise me, shame me and tell me everything I’m doing wrong”.''

Another agreed, urging fellow internet users to be kinder to one another.

''Why is everyone being so rude? I guess they're so used to seeing people with a million filters on here and forgot what a real woman looks like. I think your makeup looks nice.''
