Convicted Killer Scott Peterson Speaks Out In New Docuseries
By Jessica Sager,
Scott Peterson may get a new trial—and he's getting a new docuseries to chronicle how his case got to this point.
Peterson, who partially inspired Ben Affleck 's Gone Girl character Nick Dunne, was convicted of murdering his wife, Laci Peterson , and their unborn son Conner in November 2004, almost two years after Laci and Conner disappeared.
Ahead of the 20th anniversary of Scott Peterson's conviction, Peacock will release a new docuseries featuring his first on-camera interview in more than two decades. Scott's conversations will be with executive producer and director Shareen Anderson , who's been following the case since Laci first went missing.
Peterson will deliver his first on-camera interview in over 20 years in Face to Face With Scott Peterson .
According to a synopsis from Peacock, the docuseries will chronicle not just the original case, but also alleged inconsistencies that his legal team and supporters have discovered over the past 20 years, alternative theories about Laci's murder and how the Los Angeles Innocence Project got involved with his defense.
Is there a Face to Face With Scott Peterson trailer?
A teaser trailer for Face to Face With Scott Peterson dropped on July 29, 2024. In the trailer, we see Anderson speaking with Scott Peterson (though we don't hear him), as well as other figures in the case. In one key point in the teaser, Laci Peterson's sister says that she believes Scott was wrongfully convicted.
