    Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

The countdown to Week 1 of the NFL season is alive and well, but some fans are already looking to the "Drive For Week 5" — and which team will start off their 2024 campaign with a perfect 5-0 record.

Oddsmakers are also looking ahead and have set odds for how likely each NFL team is to end Week 5 with a spotless record. Here's a look at the five teams with the best odds at DraftKings of starting the season off 5-0.

Heads up: The team with the second-shortest odds may surprise you.

    Detroit Lions +600

You may recall that the Lions won their first game of the 2023 season in spectacular fashion, topping the Kansas City Chiefs 21-20 on Thursday Night Football. They went on to win six of their first seven games and ended the regular season atop the NFC North with a 12-5 record.

Jared Goff and company are expected to have another standout season in 2024 and their schedule suggests they can get off to a spotless start. Their first big challenge of the season will be Week 5 on the road against the Cowboys since they lost that matchup last season. However, the Lions could be entering that game with the upper hand if the current drama down in Dallas hasn't subsided.

    Miami Dolphins +550

Mike McDaniel's team got off to a 3-0 start last season thanks to their red-hot offense, which included a 70-20 win against the lowly Denver Broncos. But their quest for a 5-0 was halted in Week 4 by a 40-28 loss to the Bills in Buffalo.

The Dolphins host the Bills in Week 2, which is their biggest challenge in the first five weeks of the season. Even with games against the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots on the schedule right after, it's a little hard to back Miami to go 5-0 with that matchup against the Bills so early in the season -- even with Tua Tagovailoa entering the season healthy.

    Kansas City Chiefs +550

It's no surprise the defending Super Bowl champs have short odds to start off the season 5-0. After being upset by Detroit in Week 1 last season, Andy Reid's team won six straight before being upset by the Broncos in Week 8.

KC's 2024 schedule opens up against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens and then Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. If they can muscle through both of those games and pull out wins, a 5-0 start is possible,

    Chicago Bears +350

The Bears at +350 odds to start the season 5-0 is the big shocker here, given they started last year 0-4. The expectations for Matt Eberflus's men have clearly changed since they took quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Putting all of the pressure on the first-round pick doesn't spell success -- just look at what happened with Justin Fields — and Chicago is going to be tested heavily in Week 2 when they visit C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. Unless oddsmakers know something we don't, betting the Bears to go 5-0 seems like a very big gamble.

    San Francisco 49ers +140

Kyle Shanahan's men will be on a redemption run this season after narrowly losing to the Chiefs in overtime at the Super Bowl. And with the likes of Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey entering the season healthy, they have a real shot at making a splash to start the season.

San Francisco's first five games of the season are a mixed bag, although they should be able to get past Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in Week 1 to start off the season in the win column. But with games against the Rams and the Patriots coming up early in the schedule, the Niners have a real shot at going 5-0 — and being over .500 by the time they rematch with the Chiefs in Week 7.
