Mamie Laverock ‘s family shared a promising update on the Hallmark actress’ recovery after she suffered a tragic fall from a hospital balcony in May.

The When Calls the Heart star can be seen taking her first steps in months in a since-deleted video shared on Facebook, according to The Daily Mail .

Titled “Milestone Aug,2.24,” the video shows the 20-year-old standing up from her hospital bed and taking a couple of steps using a walker. “Thank you surgeon’s [sic], thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps,” the caption reads.

“I’m standing!” Laverock exclaims in the video, before adding,”It does feel really weird. It feels really weird.”

The Hallmark actress then adds that she feels “very wobbly” on her feet, telling the hospital staff that she felt like she’s “going to fall backward.”

Someone off-camera then notes they were FaceTiming her father. “Hi, Dad … look, I’m standing with the walker. All by myself,” she tells him.

The emotional update marks a major milestone for the actress, who was put on life support after the accident at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver left her body “shattered” earlier this year.

Her family set up a GoFundMe in which they regularly updated fans on her long road to recovery which seemingly included several surgeries.

The GoFundMe has since closed after the family raised $39,022 CAD in donations from supporters.

“Thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full. Thank you again,” Laverock wrote in an update after the GoFundMe was closed. “I have no words to describe my gratitude.
    Love you guys. Thank you.”

Laverock also celebrated her 20th birthday in the hospital last month, according to photos shared on her Facebook page.

Her mother shared an emotional moment from that day with a photo of them embracing. “Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me..at that moment we realized we could have our first hug,” she wrote.

Laverock’s mother says the family plans to take legal action against St. Paul’s Hospital for “negligence” after the accident, according to Los Angeles T imes .

She also maintains that the fall was not “intended” and was not a suicide attempt.
