Simone Biles finished her 2024 Olympic campaign with her final routine in the Floor final on Monday. The 27-year-old gymnast claimed silver in the final, finishing second to only Brazilian athlete Rebeca Andrade.
This medal marked the fourth of Biles' Paris campaign. The all-time great gymnast notched gold in the team final, All-Around and Vault.
The United States put together an excellent overall performance in this year's games. In addition to their team final gold, Suni Lee notched bronze in the Uneven Bars and Jordan Chiles finished behind Biles with bronze in the Floor.
Biles took to social media with a message for her Team USA gymnastics teammates after her final event.
"What a way to close out the Olympic Games!!! Proud of you ladies," Biles wrote on her Instagram story.
"I've accomplished way more than my wildest dreams, not just as this Olympics, but in this sport," Biles said after the Floor final. "I can't be mad at my performances. A couple of years ago I didn't think I'd be back here at an Olympic game."
"Competing and then walking away with four medals, I'm not mad about it," she continued. "I'm pretty proud of myself, and it's always so exciting to compete."
Biles has not ruled out a return for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, but there's a chance this is the last we'll see of the all-time great athlete in Olympic competition.
