Viral Video Shows Jordan Chiles 'Plotting' With Simone Biles to Pay Tribute to Rival

As their run at the Paris Olympics came to an end, Jordan Chiles and Simone Biles took a moment to pay tribute to their top rival.

At the conclusion of the floor exercise on August 5, both members of Team USA bowed to Brazil's Rebeca Andrade as she stood atop the medal podium to be awarded her gold medal. Biles took home silver and Chiles ended her trip to the Olympics with a bronze medal.

A newly released video shows that it was a little more than an impromptu moment of respect between competitors. The clip showed Chiles standing on the podium next to Biles, awaiting Andrade to take her spot. As they waited, Chiles appeared to direct Biles to pay tribute to the Brazilian gold medalist.

"From this angle you can see Jordan Chiles 'plotting' the kneel with Simone Biles and Biles agreeing to it," noted journalist J.A. Adonde on X . "What a moment. Three champions."

The video drew plenty of praise for Chiles and the respect she showed to a rival.

"That's a great video. I love seeing respect between elite competitors," one person shared on X .

"Beautiful stuff...Jordan has a massive heart. Everyone needs someone like that on their team," another wrote on X .

Chiles had a memorable run at the Paris Olympics, winning gold in the team competition and bronze in Monday's floor exercise.
