As the NFL season is fast approaching, the networks are finalizing their coverage plans.

The Post has learned that Sports Illustrated’s lead NFL insider, Albert Breer, is in advanced talks to join Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage on Prime Video as an editorial consultant and on-air contributor.

The deal has not been finalized, sources said.

Breer, who previously worked for the Boston Globe and NFL Network, will remain at SI.

He also regularly appears as a guest on the national talk shows hosted by Colin Cowherd, Rich Eisen and Dan Patrick.

An Amazon spokesperson declined to comment, and Breer did not respond to a text message seeking comment.

Amazon is entering its third season airing “Thursday Night Football” and its studio show with Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, Tony Gonzalez and Richard Sherman has been highly acclaimed.
