Victoria Canal, 25, reacts to rumors she’s dating Tom Cruise, 62

Victoria Canal has addressed the recent dating rumors linking her to Tom Cruise , 62, and she’s setting the record straight.

On Monday, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter took to Instagram to face the speculation head-on.

“Guys, this is literally bonkers, but apparently the tabloids think i am dating tom cruise. i’m deceased.💀,” she wrote.

“Let’s just stop this in its tracks,” Canal continued, posting screenshots of articles reporting on the dating rumors. “I’m sorry to bum u out but i am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist. lol never thought I would have to clarify that out loud in my life.”

The Chris Martin protégé, who was born without a right forearm and hand due to amniotic band syndrome, humorously noted that a “huge perk” of the gossip is that it marks the “First time I’m Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal and not one-armed pianist whose name remains unmentioned!!!!”

She added: “There’s always a win somewhere, thanks Tom.”

In her post, Canal praised the “Top Gun” star, but clarified that he’s like a mentor to her and nothing more.

“In all seriousness guys, tom has been nothing but a respectful and encouraging person and mentor, much like chris martin, my dad, my music teachers and other wise people that have learned a lot from living,” the “Well Well” artist wrote. “And again, i am friends with all kinds of people who are very different to me. you learn a lot if you’re open to life bringing you those teachers.”

Canal’s comments follow her recent public appearances with Cruise.

On July 12, the two were spotted traveling in a helicopter that the “American Made” actor was flying in London. That wasn’t the first time Canal flew in style courtesy of Cruise, though.

A few days earlier, the Canal shared on Instagram that Cruise had given her and her brother a lift to the premiere of “Twisters” in London, where she went to support her “talented bud” Anthony Ramos.

“Not tom cruise flying me & my brother in a heli to the @twistersmovie premiere !!!! lolol,” the “Favor” musician captioned the post, which included photos and videos of her experience.

When fans questioned how she met Cruise and why he provided the helicopter ride, Canal responded, “We met backstage at [Glastonbury Festival] and talked abt the upcoming premiere we were both going to and he said, ‘roll with me! I’ll take you guys in the heli!’ lol.”

Another fan commented, “Didn’t see that one coming,” and Canal wrote back, “Hahah neither did i 😂.”

Cruise, who has been married three times — to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes — was last romantically linked to Russian socialite and model Elsina Khayrova.

The couple split in February 2024, reportedly due to concerns about Khayrova’s ex husband, Russian oligarch Dmitry Tsvetkov.

Following news that Cruise and Khayrova were dating, Tsvetkov gave an interview to the Daily Mail explaining their marriage and warning Cruise to “keep his eyes and wallet wide open.”

A source told Page Six that Cruise’s team was concerned about the negative press resulting from the comments.

“He’s filming and can’t be shooting and have her husband saying stuff every time he is mentioned in the press,” an insider said at the time. “They just didn’t want to deal with the ex husband coming up with something nasty to say every few weeks.”
