The Las Vegas Raiders are just five days, almost four at the time of this writing, away from their first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. That means we are so close to being able to see some Raiders football again, and hopefully this time it's better than what we have been used to the last 20 years or so.

With the preseason here, the Raiders have a few things they need to figure out in terms of their roster. There are position battles all across the roster , whether it be for a starting position like the quarterback and cornerback 2 position, or whether it be for depth like the linebacker spots behind Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo.

And, that's just two of them -- the roster is so competitive and good, that there are battles everywhere on it. That's a good problem to have in many cases, and with a team like the Raiders, this is one of them. With their match against the Vikings just a few days away, the Raiders have released their first unofficial depth chart of the season.

Now, it's called an unofficial depth chart for a reason, it's not meant to be taken too seriously. But, it is something. This is put together by the Raiders media team, usually, not the coaches themselves. So, it's put together by what people at practice and camp are seeing.

Here is the depth chart the Raiders website put out on Monday:

At first glance, you will see that the Raiders have QB1 listed as both Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew, and a big space under the QB2 column with no name there.

The Raiders are playing starters in preseason Week 1. Now, we don't know how long they play, as it could be as little as one singular snap. But, we do know the QBs will both get a quarter. So, we may get to see who wins this QB battle this week.

This depth chart being released is just another way to show the season is oh-so-close.
