United States sprinter made all the headlines at the Paris Olympics over the weekend. He lost the 100-meter semifinals after taunting his opponent but he won the gold medal hours later in one of the best finishes we have ever seen .

Lyles is continuing to race in the Olympics with hopes of earning another medal. While many are enjoying Lyles' success, some aren't too thrilled.

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin is one of those not on the wave of fans for Lyles, and he made his feelings clear on Monday morning.

"Noah Lyles is my least favorite American," Franklin wrote on X.

Of course, fans didn't take too well to Franklin's statement.

"You won’t be remembered but Noah will," one fan wrote. Another said, "Professional athletes hating on Noah Lyles all come off sad and bitter."

In August 2023, Lyles grabbed attention by criticizing NBA champions for calling themselves world champions. As such, those comments have resurfaced with players such as Devin Booker also making his feelings known about it .

But, Franklin's harsh comments on Noah Lyles certainly raised plenty of eyebrows from fans.

"Vince McMahon is American but sure let’s hate on one of the greatest track and field athletes in American history," one user said on X.

"Good morning. Care to elaborate?" another fan wrote.

"Dog, there are way worse people than Noah Lyles," another fan mentioned.

It's quite the take from Zaire Franklin, and clearly it isn't going over well.
