San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has hogged the headlines recently as he's become arguably the biggest trade target this offseason.

Several teams, including the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, are reportedly trying to move heaven and earth to acquire Aiyuk.

The 26-year-old Aiyuk, named to the All-Pro Second Team last season, has remained mum about his choice of destination. But with the latest update on the trade saga, it probably won't be long until Aiyuk finds a new home.

On Tuesday, ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter said the 49ers are ready to open the phone lines and entertain rivals.

"The San Francisco 49ers are now willing to listen to trade offers for Brandon Aiyuk and have given the star wide receiver permission to negotiate a contract with other teams," Schefter posted on X.

He, however, noted that trading for Aiyuk could get extra tricky for the teams salivating over him.

"Any interested team would have to meet the asking price of Brandon Aiyuk and the 49ers," Schefter said in another post. "It’s easy to meet one of those conditions but considerably more complicated to meet both. So far, no one has been able to do it."

Aiyuk had a breakout campaign last season, helping the 49ers reach the Super Bowl. But after failing to secure a lucrative extension of his rookie contract, he put his foot down and requested to be traded last month
