SZA is hitting pause on her performances for some personal time.

At the age of 34, the acclaimed artist decided to take a step back from the spotlight after her electrifying set at Montreal's Osheaga festival this past Sunday night. She expressed introspection and resolution in a social media blast : "Yesterday was my last show for a while. Finally bout to get my life together thank u God. (sic)".

Engaging with her fans right up until her announcement, SZA shared enthusiasm when one concertgoer conveyed how her shows leave them feeling supercharged. Her heartfelt tweet read: "This makes me so happy cause that's all I'm tryna do!!"

Intent on crafting an immersive experience, she added: "I jus wanna capture yalls energy mix it up w mine add some love and throw it back . All within 90 mins... I love you (sic)".

The Saturn songstress has had a year packed with milestones, including a headline act at Glastonbury in June, where she confessed her stage jitters to the audience. Reaching out to them, she said: "Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today. I'm so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect. I love you always, god bless you. Get home safely, my name is SZA, good night."

Long candid about the battles she faces with her mental health, SZA has disclosed that she consults three separate therapists. The Kill Bill hitmaker, who skyrocketed to fame with her album SOS, has confessed that she's struggled with the pressures of stardom. She admits that the overwhelming pressure often makes her not want to leave her home and has led to bouts of "frustration".

In a candid chat with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she revealed: "So I've been really trying to get my spiritual hygiene together because I realised as of recent that a lot of this s--- is not normal. And I didn't know how to process that experience."

She further added: "And I was having a lot of lashing out and a lot of frustration. And there's a lot of opinions, a lot of entitlement to your space, a lot of entitlement to your time, a lot of expectation."
