A little over a week after Weekend Update host Colin Jost’s numerous foot-related medical complications rocked the Olympic games to its core, Jost has left Tahiti. Since June 26, when the games began, Jost has suffered near-constant injury and misfortune—and that doesn’t even include the verbal abuse he endured from fellow NBC correspondents. In a new post on Instagram, the SNL vet alerted concerned fans and well-wishers that “rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” Per Deadline, Jost is no longer covering surfing in Tahiti as the semifinals and finals were delayed until today due to small surf. It is unclear if he’ll continue coverage in Europe, but NBC replaced Jost as surf correspondent with Luke Bradnam, an Australian weatherman known for chasing down some young punks who stole his car.
