Several college football analysts are expecting to see the Georgia Bulldogs back in the SEC Championship game for the fourth time in a row. However, predicting their opponent has been a little more difficult. College football analyst Joel Klatt listed four total SEC teams in the top ten of his preseason top 25 rankings.

He included the Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, and Alabama Crimson Tide, all of which are familiar with finding themselves in the top ten ahead of the season. However, the fourth SEC team to top his charts doesn’t often see a preseason ranking this high, if they’re even ranked at all.

The Ole Miss Rebels claim the No. 6 overall spot in Klatt’s preseason rankings. They’ve been a team to watch ever since Lane Kiffin took over as head coach. The ‘Transfer Portal King’ has been building momentum thanks to his brilliant coaching mind, as well as his personality off the field.

He’s as active as any coach on social media, but his latest appearance on one of his player’s TikTok videos served as a reminder that there’s always room for improvement.

Kiffin took to social media after realizing the joke was on him, promising ‘payback’.

While the laughs must have been fun at the moment, I can’t imagine these players will be laughing if Kiffin makes them run a few extra gassers following fall camp. Kiffin is a notoriously good sport, so any “payback” that would come out of this will likely be something to help earn results on the field.

Ole Miss starts their season at home against Furman. Kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M. ET on Aug 31.
