Canada entered this year's Olympic Games as a favorite to make the podium in Paris. But following a quarterfinal loss to host-country France on Tuesday, the Canadians were sent packing in the first elimination round.

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was one of the biggest stars on the Canadian roster. But with his 2024 Olympic campaign now over, the NBA champion doesn't have much to show for it.

Murray averaged just six points per game through Canada's four Olympic contests, shooting a wildly-disappointing 2/14 from behind the three-point arc.

Murray is taking some serious heat on social media for his Olympic performance.

"A total negative for Canada. Just like he was for stretches of this past season for the Denver Nuggets. Doesn’t look at all like the same player he was before," Kevin O'Connor wrote on X.

"Watching Jamal Murray play basketball for my country has been a pretty miserable experience," a Canadian fan added.

"Jamal Murray when playing against literally any other team besides the Lakers," another said.

"First thing Jamal Murray better do after clearing customs in Denver is sign that dotted line," another wrote.

Murray finished Tuesday's quarterfinal loss to France with seven points on 1/4 shooting from three and 3/13 shooting from the field. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did the best he could to carry the Canadian squad, notching a game-high 27 points.
