Is Olympic Gymnast Suni Lee Dating NBA Star Devin Booker Now?

Six-time Olympic medalist Sunisa “Suni” Lee and Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker received quite the reaction after of photo of them out in Paris has gone viral.

Lee and Booker have been in France for the 2024 Olympic Games representing Team USA in respective sports, but they caused a frenzy when Booker posted a snap of them together that has been labeled as “romantic.” This has left many fans confused especially since Lee has been in a relationship with USC football player Jaylin Smith for years.

Here’s what we know about Lee’s night out with Booker, and the sign she and Smith may have called it quits.

The viral tweet about Lee and Booker’s ‘romantic’ evening together

The photo that has everyone buzzing was shared by Booker via his Instagram Story on Aug. 5. In it, the two athletes are standing next to a vehicle and the NBA player has his arm around Lee’s shoulder as they smile for the picture.

Booker’s post was captioned with a goat emoji, which is obviously showing respect for Lee who is one of the greats in her sport. However, when the pic went viral, rumors started swirling that the Olympians “enjoyed” a “romantic” evening together.

Fans immediately started reacting to the photo with many asking: “Are these two a couple?” Meanwhile others commented with things like “Oooooh they’re dating,” “Booker stays winning bruh,” and “Next Kendall” referring to Booker’s famous ex-Kendall Jenner.

What about Lee’s boyfriend Jaylin Smith?

But while some were quick to crown Lee and Booker the new “it couple,” others are wondering what happened with Lee and her longtime boyfriend Jaylin Smith.

Well it should be noted that there has been no confirmation from Lee or Booker that they have anything “romantic” going on. Also, plenty of the U.S. Olympians have been seen hanging out together in Paris. Moreover Booker, along with several of his basketball teammates including Steph Curry and Jrue Holiday, attended the Women’s gymnastics competitions in Paris.

The Suns star posted all about that with the caption “Goat activity,” showing that he’s a fan of the women’s gymnastics team and their greatness. He really seems to be just enjoying his time in Paris, as he’s been documenting his time there and his interactions with fellow Team USA members.

As for Smith, who went Instagram official with Lee in December 2021, they have actually been keeping their relationship quite for some time after the gymnast revealed that she received a lot of “hate” from people in the Hmong Community for dating him.

She responded to video regarding the negativity she’s had to deal with writing: “I’ve received so much hate. They [Hmong people] support me when it’s beneficial for them never when it comes to my happiness.”

But there is one major sign that Lee and Smith may not be together now and that is the fact that they are currently not following each other on Instagram anymore.
