Mondo Duplantis’ world-record pole vaulting performance from Paris didn’t only enrapture the crowd in person.

While hosting Peacock’s “Gold Zone,” Scott Hanson was also on the edge of his seat and bringing nonstop energy to viewers.

“Come on, Mondo!” Hanson shouted while leaning back and forth.

As Duplantis cleared the record 6.25-meter bar, Hanson shouted “Oh!” in celebration while raising his arms.

“He’s a champ!” Hanson repeated, even slamming his desk and high-fiving producers.

“Gold Zone, baby!” he yelled to close things out.

After NBC Sports shared video of Hanson’s reaction on Tuesday morning, Hanson had a witty three-word response : “I like sports.”

The 53-year-old broadcaster shifted from the gridiron to the international stage for the summer as Peacock unveiled its “NFL RedZone”-style coverage , which brings fans the latest action from athletes competing for gold medals.

Hanson’s zealousness also manifested itself earlier in the Olympics when he cut his pinky finger after cheering on Team USA’s swim relay team.

He has become beloved in the football community due to his vigilant host duties on “RedZone,” including not using the bathroom during the famed “seven hours of commercial-free football.”

With Hanson, Andrew Siciliano and Jac Collinsworth, NBC has continued to receive uplifting reviews of “Gold Zone” after pioneering it for 2024.

In terms of the feat to which Hanson was reacting, Duplantis stole the show Monday night, surpassing his own record by .01 meters after already locking down his second straight individual gold medal.

Afterward, the Lafayette, La. native engaged in a scene straight out of a movie , which included hyping up a standing ovation crowd, kissing his model girlfriend and even punching a Team Sweden teammate.

On top of all that, Duplantis hit two signature celebrations: a Michael Jordan shrug and an ode to Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec.

The 24-year-old Swedish-American Duplantis has emerged as a breakout fan-favorite in the action from Paris thus far, joining the likes of Dikec and French-American swimmer Leon Marchand .
