Golf best bets: 3 top props for the Wyndham Championship

The FedEx Cup Playoffs are quickly approaching, but the PGA Tour still has one more stop on the regular-season schedule before the real show begins. Looking ahead to this week's Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club, let's break down our three favorite props for what's shaping up to be a wet, stormy week in Greensboro.
Sedgefield Country Club was made for players like Rai. The Englishman is extremely accurate from off the tee, ranks eighth on the PGA Tour this season in strokes gained on approach and is riding a hot putter. Sedgefield is a second-shot golf course that gives up a ton of birdies if you hit your short irons well, and Rai has so much confidence in his short-iron game right now.
Rai struggled with the wind at the British Open, but he recorded five straight top-20 finishes before heading to Royal Troon. He should get back on track in a weaker field.
Poston is lower on the odds board this week because he's coming off two straight missed cuts, but this is a great time to buy low on a golf course that fits his game perfectly. The American has a hard time competing on the longer, modern courses due to his lack of distance off the tee, but he thrives on short, positional courses that emphasize short-iron play and putting.
Poston finished T5 at the RBC Heritage and T12 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, two tournaments that feature similar, short courses. He won at Sedgefield in 2019 and finished T7 last season, so he clearly loves this place.
While Sedgefield is a perfect fit for Rai and Poston, it doesn't set up well for Lee. The Australian can bomb his driver and has a fantastic short game, but he ranks 142nd on Tour this year in strokes gained on approach. That doesn't bode well on a second-shot golf course that can't be overpowered.
Davis is a much better match for Sedgefield. He's finished T22, T15 and T7 in three starts at the Wyndham Championship and ranks third in Data Golf's course history tool . Davis is also in great form with a win and two top-26 finishes in his last three starts.
