The criticism for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘s anti-bullying campaign – which they discussed in their sit-down CBS interview on Sunday, August 4th – continues!

A royal commentator has slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for launching an anti-bullying initiative despite having links to tech entrepreneur Christopher Bouzy, a man who has previously said some very unkind things about Prince William and Kate Middleton .

They have also been criticized by other commentators for having “zero credibility” on the subject of bullying, while many royal fans took to social media and online comments sections to call them “hypocrites.”  Prince Harry and Meghan have been branded hypocritical following the shocking revelations in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare , and also due to the fact that Meghan has faced her own bullying allegations in the past.

Royal Commentator Thinks Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Aren’t ‘Practicing What They Preach’

According to the Daily Mail , royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan are “not practicing what they preach,” and referenced their association with tech entrepreneur Christopher Bouzy.

Bouzy, who appeared as a talking head on Prince Harry and Meghan’s controversial Netflix docuseries , has become “notorious,” to quote the Daily Mail, for slamming the royal family, in particular their appearance. He previously said the Princess of Wales was “old” and was aging as fast as a “banana,” and once claimed the Prince of Wales “looks like a balding Muppet.” Other comments he made about their appearance include: “I’m sorry, but William and Kate look like Harry’s aunt and uncle.”

And it is Prince Harry and Meghan’s association with Bouzy (below) which Fitzwilliams took issue with. “You often judge individuals by the company they keep,” he said, before referencing Bouzy and royal author, Omid Scobie. Speaking about the latter, Fitzwilliams said that his “latest book, Endgame , was involved in a disgraceful row over unproven allegations which has never been satisfactorily explained.”

    Internet Reactions

"They are complete and total hypocrites," one royal fan wrote in the comments section of a Daily Mail article about their association with Bouzy. "I can't believe how they can condemn online bullying and abuse while surely supporting, if only by not stopping it, Christopher's abuse of the RF. Absolute hypocrites," thought a second, as a third added: "Beyond belief, that their PR team thought this person was the ideal choice to represent them to the public, and shame on them for agreeing."

"Harry and Meghan need to clean up their own backyard before they go poking into others'. They need to publicly denounce Bouzy, Scobie, and the Sussex Squad, and distance themselves from them," slammed another. "Calling them hypocritical is an understatement. I wonder how she shows her face in public knowing people read these revelations. And they're wondering why they are disliked," commented another.

Someone else wrote: "Honestly could we look at a more hypocritical couple? Chris Bouzy has written some awful things and it would be interesting for H and M to dismiss what he says to prove they mean business about internet bullies etc but alas i don't think we will hear that."

More Criticism For Harry And Meghan

According to Sky News Australia, Executive Director at GT Communications Gemma Tognini said the couple have "zero credibility in this space to talk about cyberbullying," especially because of the things Prince Harry has written about his family in his bombshell memoir, Spare.

"I mean, even talking about the woman who (Harry) lost his virginity to and the way he described it – this woman had been getting on with her life, and had by all reports, kept his secret for the last however many years," she continued, adding: "And he just described her, as I recall, like a horse in the back of paddock behind a pub. I mean, it was just absolutely vile behavior. They have absolutely no credibility from which to launch this conversation."

TalkTV producer, Samara Gill, also chimed in, referencing the past bullying allegations against the former Suits actress and that infamous argument with the Princess of Wales about Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress. "I'm not going to take bullying advice, and cyberbullying advice from someone like Meghan Markle and Harry, who have an absolutely shambolic record," Gill said.

"We're talking about someone who made Kate Middleton cry very famously," Gill continued. "After her bridezilla moment at the palace when she was getting married, they had to do a formal investigation into some of the behavior that she had exhibited while she was preparing to get married because she had literally made staff (cry) who (had) worked with the Queen for 30 years – she brought them to tears."

Gill also referenced the bombshell allegations in Spare , saying the memoir "basically aired out every piece of dirty laundry that the royal family has ever had." She added that Prince Harry "dragged them through the mud for things that happened behind closed doors, it's just ridiculous that they're now coming and saying that they're some sort of bastion of anti-bullying when their record shows that they are completely, completely not the people to be lecturing us on this."
