Biles appeared in an interview with TODAY on Tuesday morning.

During a sequence, the 27-year-old shared the moment that she couldn’t collect her emotions following her Olympic achievements .

“You are sitting here today, 27 years old, the most decorated gymnast of all time. Have you had a moment to reflect on what this means?” Hoda Kotb asked.

“Not completely, and I don’t think I will, until one day I decide to retire,” Biles answered.

The seven-time gold medalist then recalled a moment she shared with her teammate and friend Chiles while at the Olympic Village.

“Yesterday, once we got back to the village, I looked at Jordan, and I just started bawling my eyes out. And she was like, ‘I knew it was going to happen. I just didn’t know when,'” Biles said while smiling.

The most decorated American gymnast then revealed why she believes the floodgates opened for her.

“I think I was so full of emotion, and I finally released all of that. I was so proud, happy, bittersweet that the journey’s over. It’s like, it’s so crazy. It happened so quick. My third Olympics,” Biles said.

On Monday, she and Chiles medaled in the women’s floor exercise final.

Biles received the silver while Chiles took home the bronze – her first-ever Olympic medal.

Biles answered to critics over the gesture .

“I think it’s all about sportsmanship, and we don’t care whether we win or lose,” the 27-year-old said.

“We’re always going to keep a good face and support our competitors because they’ve worked just as hard as we have for that moment.

“You have to give them their flowers and that’s exactly what me and Jordan were doing.

“We were so happy for her.

“She deserved it, she had the best floor routine of the day, and of the Olympics.”

Andrade won her second career Olympic gold medal as she suffered three ACL tears before participating in this year’s games.

As for Biles, she has 11 career medals – 10 of those in gold.

“You never say never. The next Olympics is on home turf. So you just never know,” Biles said on whether she plans to retire anytime soon.

“I’m just going to relax and see where life takes me.”
