Imane Khelif , the women's welterweight boxer who found herself in the middle of a global discussion over her gender, has won through to the gold medal match.

Fighting in the 66kg division, the Algerian defeated Thailand's Janjaem Suwannapheng in the semi final to book her place in the gold medal decider.
