Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson is on the brink of making history with Team USA. The squad will be in action on Wednesday in the semifinal of the women's 5x5 basketball tournament against Nigeria as they edge closer to what could be a historic eighth consecutive gold medal finish in the Olympics.
Wilson isn't just going along for the ride, either. The two-time WNBA MVP is one of the most important players on the star-studded roster, averaging 20.3 points , 9.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in three games played in the group stage.
At this point, there's no denying that Wilson is one of the biggest names in women's basketball. So much so that her first-ever signature shoe with sportswear giant Nike, the "A'One," is set to release sometime next year.
Before that highly-anticipated launch, however, Nike has decided to tease the fans with a bit of a preview. This comes in the form of the Aces center reportedly getting her own Nike Calm Slide.
Nike has not made an official announcement as of yet, and it was Sole Retriever, a prominent sneaker-dedicated account on X, formerly Twitter, that broke the news.
Wilson herself appears to have confirmed the rumors by reposting the announcement with a cryptic caption.
"Ok ok who’s the mole???? 😵💫🫣" Wilson wrote.
This all but confirms that Wilson is indeed getting her own Nike Calm Slide, which is reportedly set to hit shelves next summer for a retail price of $55.
It's very likely that the slides will be launched before the A'One, which means that fans who have been waiting for Wilson's signature shoe might need to wait until the latter part of 2025 to get their hands on them.
