Snoop Dogg's Olympics coverage for NBC Sports earns rapper 'huge' daily sum

Snoop Dogg is raking in a staggering daily amount plus expenses as NBC Sport's Special Olympics correspondent. The 52-year-old rapper has been delighting crowds in Paris, mingling with former and current Olympians. One of his standout moments was bearing the Olympic torch.

He even turned up to the equestrian event kitted out in horse-riding attire. Henry McNamara, a prominent entrepreneur, alleges that an NBC executive informed him that Snoop Dogg is pocketing nearly half a million per day covering the 2024 Games.

Bild claims he will take home a colossal $14.97 million plus bonuses for his month-long stint in Paris, which amounts to $499,300 per day. "I'm doing the things that I do to politically stay correct and just being Snoop Dogg," he stated. "That's what I know how to do the best," reports the Mirror US .

"I felt like Muhammad Ali. I discovered that when you hold the torch, you're a peace messenger," Snoop Dogg commented on carrying the Olympic torch. "I was waving, shaking hands, kissing the babies - doing what I do, you understand me? Putting my foot in the pavement, letting the people know that we're here. We're here for peace, love, unity, and great sportsmanship."

Snoop has been a massive hit on social media. "My mum rang me and told me how much she enjoys watching Snoop Dogg at the Olympics and I had to remind her that she grounded me for buying his CD once," one fan shared.

"Snoop Dogg saying 'I am interested in the horses that dance, and giving them carrots and apples' has made my entire week, thank you so much Snoop Dogg," another expressed.

A third shared: "Snoop Dogg at the Olympics has been the perfect entertaining distraction from all the other ---- going on. The man is a whole vibe."

In 2014, the International Olympic Committee struck a colossal $5.72 billion broadcasting agreement with NBC, which ensures the US broadcaster's coverage up until 2032, encompassing the upcoming pair of Olympic events including the 2028 Los Angeles Games. There's talk that NBC may call upon more celebs and social media stars in future to ramp up digital interaction with audiences.

Carl Hester mused over the celebrity influence at the stables, notably Snoop Dogg's appearance stirring excitement.
