Simone Biles’ Husband Makes Major Admission About Her 2028 Olympic Plans

Arguably the most-asked question since the conclusion of the gymnastics portion of the 2024 Paris Olympics has been will Simone Biles compete in the 2028 Olympic Games?

The 27-year-old answered with the noncommittal “never say never” response many expected her to give, and since she’s not confirming any news about her future, everyone seems to be asking the one other person who might actually know the answer: her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens.

“Of course [I want to see her compete in 2028],” Owens told People Magazine . “If she feels like it is time to focus on life [and having kids]... because when you are locked in, you do have to sacrifice a lot and you do miss a lot. That's the one thing that she would just have to figure out for herself. And like I said, man, I'm here to support her 1,000% percent and whatever she decides to do.”

Biles left the door open on potentially competing at the 2028 Games with the event being held in Los Angeles, but she also hinted her age may play a factor (she’ll be 31 during the next Olympic cycle), and she recently admitted her body was starting to shut down toward by the final events in Paris.

However, having no travel and a pseudo home-field advantage surely makes competing in her fourth Olympics all the more appealing. Biles also hasn’t ruled out retiring from Olympic competition and starting a family with Owens, who’s 29.

“Whatever she chooses…I'm going to support her 1,000%,” Owens added. “…It's going to depend on how she feels because there's a lot of sacrifice that comes with it.”
