Have you ever brought home an animal you weren’t expecting to adopt? If you have, you’ll know precisely where these parents are coming from. But if you find that scenario challenging to understand, you won’t once you hear this story.

It’s truly a tale of serendipity. This video, shared on July 22, captures the awe-inspiring reason this family’s love grew unexpectedly.

They are also precious! Who could have left those two behind? Talk about a situation that was just meant to be. Little did Jordan (@ justbeinjordan_ ) know that when she went to pick up her adorable Miniature Cow, Winnie, she would end up bringing home eight more hooves. However, she explains she sensed something funny when they arrived at the farm. She noticed the bond between sweet Winnie and a loving mini Donkey who cared for her like her child. Not wanting to break that connection, they decided they’d bring June home, too. However, as luck would have it, June also had a doting boyfriend, Johnny, so they knew they couldn’t leave him behind without his girl. Johnny and June Cash would be proud to know their namesakes will live out their lives happily together.

    Facts About Miniature Donkeys

According to the Smithsonian National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute, Miniature Donkeys are not bred to be smaller versions of full-size Donkeys. Their smaller size is natural. They are native to Sicily and Sardinia, and we were brought to the US in the 1920s. Unlike standard Donkeys , which weigh between 400-500 pounds, minis weigh 200 to 400 pounds and have an average lifespan of 33 years. They are known for forming strong and profound attachments to humans and animals. Because they are herd animals, they can become stressed when left alone. So, it’s understandable that this family went home with more than they expected.

People applauded this decision. One person responded, “Aww, thank you for keeping them together. That’s so wonderful!” It sure is. Another viewer shared, “It’s people like you that give me hope. Those animals were so lucky that you came to see the cow.” It was meant to be. Viewer @gardencatz pointed out, “It seems men who indulge their wife’s big hearts have equally big hearts for precious animals. Let’s hear it for all the angel men who love their Angel wives.” The world is a better place because of those big, open hearts.

Even though we might not have a new miniature cow and two happy donkeys, it’s good to know this family does. It’s even better to think about the long and happy lives they’ll now be able to spend together.
