On Friday, Aug. 2, Leftover Salmon and Daniel Donato Cosmic Country blew through The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. for a special performance honoring the music and legacy of the great Jerry Garcia, who would have turned 82 on August 1. To pay tribute to the endlessly innovative artist who gave shape to today’s jam, psych and alt-bluegrass scenes, the bands presented sets specially tailored to his staples, with Donato joining the foundational Colorado jam ensemble for the bulk of its tried and true “Workingman’s Salmon” set.

Billy Strings’ latest studio endeavors have been revealed. The artist announced that on September 27, he will release a new album titled Highway Prayers via Reprise Records. The early fall release will arrive after Strings’ collaborative LP, Me/And/Dad, and previous effort, 2021’s Renewal.
