Serbia Coach Gives Honest Review Of Team USA Ahead Of Olympic Clash
By Max Escarpio,

Serbian men's basketball head coach Svetislav Pesic is preparing to play one of the most talented Team USA rosters in Olympic history.
Team USA will take on Serbia on Aug. 8 at 3 p.m. ET in the semifinals of the Paris Olympics. The remaining teams are the United States, Serbia, France, and Germany.
Pesic seems to believe Serbia is playing a juggernaut in the semifinals, recently sharing a bold take on America's talent. He believes the United States' roster is the best team in the history of the Olympics.
“We are playing against the best team in the history of national teams," Pesic said.
His thoughts on Team USA mean their current roster surpasses the Dream Team with Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson and the Redeem Team with Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Carmelo Anthony.
Both of those squads are usually considered two of the top teams in Olympic history, but Pesic sees something special in the USA's current roster.
United States guard LeBron James (6), small forward Jayson Tatum (10), shooting guard Stephen Curry (4) and center Joel Embiid (11) in the second quarter against Puerto Rico during the Paris 2024 Olympic Summer Games at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
The biggest stars on the current roster from the United States are NBA veterans Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James.
Pesic mentioned that he's aware of the talent that the USA possesses, and while he's confident in his team, he realizes there's a tall task at hand.
Serbia recently defeated Australia 95-90 in overtime in the quarterfinals. Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic was the Serbians' anchor, posting 21 points and 14 rebounds against the Aussies.
While the Team USA roster has experienced players at the top of the lineup, they also have some of the most versatile and explosive athletes that are currently in the NBA.
Some of their secret weapons, all of which come off the bench for head coach Steve Kerr, are Bam Adebayo, Anthony Edwards, and Jayson Tatum.
Pesic may stir a global debate with his thoughts on the current roster for Team USA, but he seems bewildered by their talent from top to bottom.
