Bills Josh Allen Reveals Thoughts on Former Teammate Stefon Diggs

The relationship between Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and former teammate Stefon Diggs has largely been defined by ebb and flow.

Despite their wealth of success on the field as teammates in western New York from 2020-23, the pair also had their share of public struggle. Though Diggs may be catching his passes from second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud with the Houston Texans, Allen took a moment earlier this week to reflect on his time as the talented wideout’s teammate.

"Stef's a great player and what he brought to the team was special," Allen said . "I don't know if I'd say miss. He was a guy who was reliable, you can look to. He's going to have the juice every and every day. I'm sure he's bringing it over there in Houston. So definitely, you can't say that you don't miss that. But I'm very happy with what we got going on here and how hard the guys have been working."

The Bills dealt Diggs [along with two late-round picks] to the Texans in April, for a second-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. During his four years with Buffalo, Diggs caught 445 passes for 5372 yards and 37 touchdowns, while forming one of the NFL’s best offensive tandems with Allen as his quarterback. Unfortunately, the relationship began to deteriorate over the past two seasons — largely in part due to Diggs’ dissatisfaction with the team’s organizational direction.

The Bills have restocked the position with veteran receivers such as Chase Claypool and Curtis Samuel and rookie sensation Keon Coleman — who was selected at No. 33 overall in April’s draft.
