Aespa’s Karina to Star in Mnet’s MY ARTi FILM

SM Entertainment’s award-winning group Aespa star Karina is all set to make her acting debut in Mnet’s new show My ARTi FILM . The K-pop stunner will perform alongside Reply 1988 star Lee Dong Hwi.

Aespa Karina has been dubbed the all-rounder of the group whose charisma knows no bounds. She debuted in 2020 and showed her diverse talent by participating in various shows. She has been a cast member of the Netflix show Agents of Mystery in 2024. Previously, she has also hosted the MBC’s Show! Music Core with Jungwoo and Lee Min Hyuk.

Aespa’s Karina to appear in Mnet’s variety show MY ARTi FILM

Aespa member Karina will venture into acting by starring in Mnet’s My ARTi FILM. She will act in the noir action genre, portraying a strong, independent character with the courage to fight against a strict boss. Karina’s first acting project has raised anticipation among fans, who are patiently waiting for her to get into acting.

Karina commented on her upcoming project, gushing over her enthusiasm for exploring acting. The 24-year-old K-pop songstress said, “I enjoyed becoming the protagonist of a noir action piece, which I usually only watch.” She added, “I hope viewers appreciate and enjoy seeing this new side of me.”

Mnet’s My ARTi Film is a new type of show that has garnered attention among fans. In the weekly release, the show unveils various artists’ creative sides, where they try out acting scenes from romance, comedy, and thriller. The cinematic presentation of various films on stage lends a theatric effect and helps idols show their charismatic side to fans.

Previously, The Boyz star Sunwoo made his acting debut in My ARTi FILM with K-drama actress Jung Da Bin. On the upcoming August 13 episode, fans will also see Julie and Natty of KISS OF LIFE perform on the show. Mnet’s My ARTi Film airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. KST and 8 a.m. ET at Mnet and the Mnet K-Pop YouTube Channel.
