The show’s routine viewers don’t need DECIDER to tell them that Ripa has been absent all week, with her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos being joined by temporary replacements. Live ‘s announcer Deja Vu kicked off the week alongside Consuelos, followed by Jane Krakowski on Tuesday (Aug. 6) and Deja back at the host desk on Wednesday (Aug. 7).
While fans may be anxiously anticipating Ripa’s return, they have to wait just a little bit longer. Consuelos is leading this morning’s installment with Maria Menounos , who previously stepped in for Ripa on Live during a July 2023 episode. The two co-hosts talked with John Stamos about his role on UnPrisoned Season 2, which hit Hulu on July 17.

A production source teased to DECIDER that Consuelos will be working with several guest-hosts this week, including Deja Vu, Maria Menounos, and Jenny Mollen . Luckily for those watching at home, each episode this week has still been all-new content.
On Wednesday, Ripa shared on her Instagram story that she is “honored and excited to join the 2024 class of Disney Legends at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.” She and the other honorees will be bestowed the title this weekend in Disneyland.
