U.S. sprinter Noah Lyles only mustered a bronze medal at the highly anticipated men's 200-meter final on Thursday, August 8.

The outspoken track star appeared exhausted after the race and was eventually helped off the track via wheelchair.

Shortly after the event, ESPN's Coley Harvey reported that Lyles had also potentially committed a violation.

"Adding to matters, it appears Noah Lyles was also just given a yellow card for a violation of Technical Rule 7.1, which falls under "improper conduct," Coley wrote on X. "No clue why at this point, but that designation just registered in the event monitoring system here."

Details remain sparse as of writing, but the update was also displayed on the official Olympics website.

According to Harvey via ESPN.com , "During introductions, (Lyles) did demonstrably jump onto the track as he heard his name. While pumping up the crowd before the race, Lyles smacked the box housing the speaker in his lane so hard that the number on its box fell off."
