Quilt Raffle for Local Veterans Honor Flight

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )–  The Loving Hands in All Seasons Quilt Guild spent the past year creating a one-of-a-kind quilt to raise money for the Leatherstocking Honor Flight in October.

The guild donated the masterful quilt, depicting each branch of military service, to the non-profit. The Leatherstocking Honor Flight will raffle it off as a fundraiser in the months leading up to its next flight in the Fall.

Honor Flight takes Capital Region veterans and their guardians on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., to tour the war memorials as a way to honor and celebrate their service and sacrifice.

The fundraiser hopes to help sponsor airline tickets for veterans and their accommodations. Supporters can purchase a single ticket for $5 or a bundle for $20 at https://leatherstockinghonorflightny.org/quilt-raffle or scan the QR Code below.

The 2024 honor flight will depart on October 5, and the quilt raffle will be drawn at the send-off celebration at Albany International Airport.
