Funding awarded to local fire departments

COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Local fire departments are receiving federal funding to help improve safety. With over $200,000 divided up between them, three local fire departments will be able to purchase protective gear, training, and supplies.

Fire departments receiving funding:

• Town of Colonie Town Hall: $90,090.90
• North Granville Hose Co, Inc: $54,571.42
• Putnam Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 Inc: $58,571.42

This funding comes from the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
