Motorcyclist killed in Kinderhook crash

KINDERHOOK, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Kinderhook on Sunday night. The motorcycle’s operator has been identified as Randall Collins, 31, of Glenville.

On August 11 around 8:16 p.m., troopers responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 28 in Kinderhook. The preliminary investigation determined that Collins was riding east when he reportedly drifted off the road’s south shoulder, passed through a field and collided with a tree.

Collins was declared dead at the scene. The Niverville Fire Department and the Greenport Rescue Squad assisted state police. The crash investigation remains ongoing.
