    Police are searching for a missing teen who was last seen in Selkirk. Also, the Democratic National Convention kicks off on Monday. This, and more, in your five things to know this Monday.

    1. Police searching for teen missing in Selkirk

    Law enforcement is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl in Selkirk. Bethlehem Police said Alexis L. Bleyman has been missing since Thursday, Aug. 15.

    2. The Democratic National Convention starts Monday. Here’s how to watch it

    The Democratic National Convention kicks off Monday, with delegates and officials descending on Chicago after a wild few weeks that saw the party switch out its nominee, upending what had already been an unprecedented campaign year.

    3. Winning lotto ticket sold at local Stewart’s Shops

    A second-prize-winning lotto ticket was sold on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Stewart’s Shops on Northern Boulevard for $127,409. The winning ticket matched five of six numbers, including the bonus number.

    4. Annual banana theme party raising funds for food pantries

    The second annual banana party fun-raiser took place on Sunday at the Lost and Found Bar and Kitchen in Albany. The mission behind the event stems from an ongoing desire of two friends to throw a banana theme party. This idea coincided with a passion they have for giving back to the community.

    5. Police investigate Eagle Street shooting in Albany

    Albany Police are investigating a shooting near Eagle Street and Morton Ave on Saturday. Police said the two victims are in stable condition at Albany Medical Center after being treated on the scene.
