Countywide Narcan training to be held in Saratoga County

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Saratoga County is holding a countywide free Narcan training and distribution on Tuesday. There will be 29 events throughout the day to bring awareness to overdose prevention in recognition of the upcoming International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31.

Participants receive a free Narcan rescue kit at the training as well as learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer nasal Narcan. Those who are unable to attend one of these events can request an overdose rescue kit on the Saratoga County website .
