Watervliet restaurant listed for sale, will close

WATERVLIET, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Teta Marie’s Lebanese Restaurant, located at 1297 Broadway in Watervliet, is up for sale. Owner Brenda Hage told NEWS10 that the restaurant will close after the sale is finalized.

“We are selling because we need to relocate out of state for a kidney transplant for my husband,” said Hage.

Hage opened Teta Marie’s in September 2020 on Ontario Street in Cohoes. After outgrowing the space, Hage moved the restaurant to the old Papa’s building in Watervliet and reopened in August 2023. The restaurant serves Lebanese food such as falafel, stuffed grape leaves, kabobs, shawarma, salads, and more.

The turnkey restaurant space is listed for sale with Limelight Leasing for $75,000. The business is being sold as is, and includes all of the kitchen equipment, furnishings and fixtures, as well as the current lease at $3,000 per month. Teta Marie’s will remain open until the business is sold. Hage does not know what the future holds for them, but they plan to return to the Capital Region when her husband is well enough.
