Construction scheduled to start Monday on Onalaska's Midwest Drive

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -- Starting Monday, May 13 Onalaska's Midwest Drive will be undergoing a construction project expected to last for most of summer.

The construction will be between Theater Road to East Main Street.

During construction Midwest Drive will be turned into a one-way street with access to driveways.

For the first phase of construction, Midwest Drive will be a westbound one-way street, with access only from East Main Street.

During the second phase of construction, Midwest Drive will be an eastbound one-way street, with access only from Theater Road.

Throughout construction there will be no access from Market Place onto Midwest Drive.

Drivers should be aware that access routes to properties and businesses along the route may change based on traffic control and staging.

The project is estimated to be done on August 9.
