UWL advances to regional final after scoring 29 runs in two games

UWL entered the day needing just 1 win to advance to the NCAA D3 Regional Final.

They started the day up against Coe College.

UWL scored 5 runs in the first inning, but Coe would put together a comeback. The two teams went back in fourth until the 10th inning.

In the top of the 10th, UWL would take the lead on a solo home run, but in the bottom half of the inning, Coe would hit back to back home runs with the second being a walk-off home run as they got the win 12-11 in extras.

UW-La Crosse would then face the Benedictine University in an elimination game.

UWL would score 9 runs in the first inning including a grand slam from Nate Witte.

Benedictine would do their best to make a comeback, but UWL would get the win 18-15.

UWL will face Coe College in the regional final on Sunday at 11a.m. They will need to win two games before Coe wins 1.
