Quiet condition with mild temperatures fill the upcoming work week

WHAT WE ARE TRACKING: A quiet and dry stretch of weather is expected this work week before warmer and more humid conditions arrive by the weekend.

NEXT 24 HRS: Hazy skies (due to smoke) this evening, along with some clouds north of I-94, continue with temperatures falling 60s by 10 pm. Clear skies are expected overnight, with areas of fog developing towards sunrise. Fog could be dense in some areas. Temperatures will fall into the 50s overnight, with the coldest locations dropping into the 40s. Once the fog or low clouds burn off, temperatures will climb into the 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

LOOKING AHEAD: Dry and mild conditions are expected through Thursday as high pressure remains over or near the area. The pattern begins to turn by Friday as the winds aloft turn more southwesterly, resulting in warmer temperatures (90s) and more humid conditions lifting northeast quickly into the region for the weekend. As winds aloft turn to the west and eventually northwest for the first part of next week, temperatures slowly return to seasonable and lower humidity levels. Low rain chances return due to this pattern change.
